Millennium Farm had an incredible circuit at the Woodside Spring Preview and Spring Horseshows with everyone riding well and contributing to the ribbon string.
Lauren Buckner rode beautifully, incorporating all of the skills she has been perfecting at home and winning two classes in the short stirrup division and walking away with the championship for that division.
Judith Hasko also stepped up and won too 4 classes in the long stirrup division producing reserve championships for both of the horse shows. Look for Judith to be moving up to the 2’6” division at the next Woodside show.
Danielle Hashem honed her skills and hard work and was reserve champion of the low adult equitation division during the Preview. She was first and second over the jumps in the highly competitive AA hunter division week two and had to fight off trainers who were trying to buy Korbel.
Bonnie Moe and Sailor really clicked at Woodside and looked ready to step into the 3’ ring at the next show. They were 1sts and 2nds over the jumps in the hunters with Bonnie taking a 2nd in a hugely competitive Flat equitation class.
Jenny House did a great job catch riding Perseus and won a huge low adult hunter class. She also won one on Amika, who didn’t want to be left out of the blues. Amika was as impressive as ever, taking reserve championships in the training hunters for both shows. Perseus was also reserve champion of the low division out of top company during the Spring Show.
Katie G. was on a mission to get to the childen’s hunter ring and rode superbly week one, handily taking the championship of the low hunter division. She punctuated her riding success the second week by making her debut right into the 3’ ring the next week where she won two classes, earning the resrve championship honor.
Amanda Saucedo proved that hard work and miles in the saddle really do pay off. She catch rode Jenny House’s Amika to victory week II of the shows and won most of the classes in the low adult division producing a much deserved championship.
All in all, a great start to the show season. We look forward to the next show where some new riders and horses will make their debuts.
